These are excellent jars. I didn't realize when I purchased them that they have a plastic/silicone gasket around the lid that makes for a very snug fit, which I really like. I have purchased the to replace one I had that broke, but the lid on the broken one simply sat on top of the jar. These are very sturdy and should last a very long time (if I don't manage to break them).

These glass cookie jars are the best quality I have found. The thickness of the glass is fantastic and the lids fit so securely that you can store anything in these jars. They are also esthetically pleasing and can used in the pantry or on a countertop as decor.

The cookie jars themselves are well made and keep items fresh. The lid fits tightly on the jar so no air enters at all. They are hard to get off when you want a cookie though. This is probably a good thing at our house. The labels are cheap and not very good. I would definitely use something else to label the jars or use nothing at all.

I am a heavy bread baker and I LOVE THESE for the various types of flours. We have an evaporative cooler and cannot store things like flour in simple canisters. These have a plastic seal that cuts down on the contents being exposed to ambient moisture in the air, AND still allow me easy access on the fly in the kitchen. They are thick, durable, attractive and easy to clean. I love the size!!! The will hold a full bag of flour when they are empty, if I remember correctly! I wish they were a better price, that's my only gripe. We use those "chalkboard" style labels on them you write on with a white pen OR we use a Brother label printer, both work great. The lids are dishwasher safe on the top rack in my experience and the bases can be done in the bottom rack.

The jars are very cute, and I will definitely be displaying cookies in them soon. However, I find the glass knob/ handle particularly small and difficult to manipulate unless I have the jar securely tucked under my arm and have super dry hands. The lid also has some wiggle to it which makes me doubt the "air tight" claim. That said, it will be secure enough to keep the cookies fresh before they are eaten. I would buy again for sure.

I use these for my dogs’ food and treats that I keep on our kitchen counter. The only thing you have to be careful about is when you open the box. They put the decorative sticker-labels directly under where you slice the box open which sliced through the labels so that I couldn’t use them. I also cut down some of the seal in order to be able to open it easier. After doing that, I can open them without holding the bottom of the jar with my other arm. I bought half-gallon version of these to store my collagen peptides, Benefiber and super greens by my tea-making station. They allow me to keep things where I use them.
